Lots of old, a little new

I took this photo before Christmas one night when I was bored. I hadn't scrapbooked it yet, because I was sick of doing Christmas pages. This is the last of them.

This page is made up of many lines, most of it old. The blue snowflake and stripe are Basic Grey Figgy Pudding - that's FOUR years ago! There's some 3 year old MME, and last years Basic Grey Wassail. It's so nice to use up that old stuff.

The inspiration for this layout came from 2 peas. You can find it here. Ryan doesn't like the tilted letters in the title; looking at it again, neither do I. Seemed like a good idea at the time. I think maybe the problem is that the S is too high. Oh well.

EDIT: I fixed the crooked letters, I couldn't stand it. They are all straight now.

2 Cute Secretaries

This is another layout I completed at crop. I really like this one! The things that attract me to it most are
1) I used Christmas paper - the stripe - can you believe it?
2) My mix of products - thanks June for selecting the MM butterflies
I am excited for the completion of my baby book - although it seems to have been set aside. So many christmas projects to create! I have already finished two minibooks and a calendar and am currently working on my cards! I haven't even decorated my house for halloween yet (maybe tomorrow) but already am excited for the holiday season! It's been so cold and snowy that I've just been put in the mood for mittens and hot chocolate!

It's raining, it's pouring!

... there is no old man snoring here. I do have 2 very hyper dogs who just want to run around outside and get wet and muddy. I let them, since I have a new vacuum that suck up all the dirt! In hopes of banishing this terrible weather, (it feels too much like home!) here is a layout of some gorgeous weather.This layout is created from a mix of things. I had a Studio Calico kit with 2 sheets of Making Memories Great Escape paper. I had already purchased the tiny word stickers myself. Crystal shared with my some 6x6 papers from this line. The canvas tags and epoxy stickers are from last years Making Memories line - Passport. The ticket stubs also came in my Studio Calico kit, I think they were SEI. This layout was a struggle to make, I had a hard time fitting all the photos I wanted to fit, and making it balanced. It turned out great I think. The orange cardstock really goes well with the photos. It gives them a more sunset look than if I had used a different cardstock. It's interesting how different papers can give your photos a whole new feel.

2 High Quality Dog Layouts

I haven't posted in a while because I knew I'd be scanning my layouts and I much prefer posting them scanned. The quality is so much better and you can see all the edges. Sometimes in photos I cut stuff out by accident. I'm planning on posting a few a day so stretch it out because I'm sure it won't be long until I have another CD of scanned layouts. I've also gone back and updated some trip layouts to scanned versions as well. Here's two layouts of curious dogs for today:

Steve had never seen crabs before. He was all about them. This is really old (and by that I mean, last year) Cosmo paper. I wanted this robot paper so badly but had no use for it. Glad its used up. I cut the title and the crabs with the Cricut. I traced another journaling spot to make this one. I also did a ring of Stickles around the crab in the large photo to highlight it. Those little crabs really do a good job of blending into the rocks.

Mack is so silly! Here he is peeking into Craig's tent. What a nosy little dog. The "Fragile" paper is Making Memories from last year. The red stuff that kinda looks like tents is exclusive Studio Calico from a couple of kits back. I added a couple of MME green rubons to the title strip for a bit of extra detail.

I created the road sign background for my title using the Cricut and SCAL! The letter stickers are really old Chatterbox. All papers are October Afternoon.

My cousin's children! This uses Basic Grey's Lemonade line. Love the colours in this.

These photos are from the cabin. We always have so much fun up there. This is a mix of October Afternoon lines.

This layout is created mainly from the latest Studio Calico kit. Like my photo orientation on this one. It's a little different for me.

Two layouts!

Two more to share! This one was done last night. Crystal invited me over at 9 and I obliged. A random impulse scrap, I just threw some stuff together. But it worked. I used a sheet of Kraft paper here. I have so much of it from my Studio Calico kits, but it just doesn't seem to be my thing. I like how it softened this layout, I may start using more. Only one family page to go!

This is the layout that I showed the sneak of the other day. The photo has been printed. I LOVE this layout. Very retro. Super cool. Thanks Crystal (and Jane!) for the use of Jane's cricut cartridge to cut this flowers. They look just like the Sass flowers you can buy!

Another One!

Amazing what a person can do when she actually has some time one her hands. My 3rd layout of the week! And I already have another one on my desk. Can you believe it? What's even more amazing is that I'm cleaning my house today and not scrapbooking... Gotta go get that done so I can have some more fun.

I realize mine isn't really about my personality, but it's so obvious to me in this picture. I've been told for years to stop slouching and I was actually trying to stand up straight in this photos... Guess I still need to work on that.

First layout from photoshoot!

I finally got around to printing the pictures Jen took of us on Sunday. I know, it's been like 2 months since she took them. Anyhow, I was really inspired to do this layout right away. It was kind of a random mix of papers I chose. Winter and a new springish line from Basic Grey. I've used so much of Making Memories Falala line. I normally pick up a line and use it on maybe one page. I've used nearly all my paper and have very few embellishments left. I'm quite proud of myself and happy with how versatile that line was. I'm also happy that I finished a layout off. I've been really bad lately at starting, but not finishing. I have a stack of 5 or 6 nearly complete pages.

Layouts, layouts, layouts!

I've been trying to post for like 3 days now. Something, anything. Blogger refused to let me. So I'm hoping this will go through successfully in the end here. Over the weekend June and I scrapbooked together. All weekend. It was great. I got a lot of stuff done, new and old, and really impressed with pretty much all of it. Sorry for the bad photos, but check out the layouts I finished!Ryan was so proud of this shot he took with his legs and the cabin in the back there. So I hope he likes what I did on the page. This one was actually one of the hardest to do. I had trouble putting stuff in the waves that didn't belong there. I don't know why I needed to be so realistic, and really, flowers and flourishes don't exactly exist in waves either, but oh well.

This one was made with my Studio Calico kit as well. There's a bunch of extras mixed in too. The paper was all from the kit, except the brown sheet. The bright yellow Thickers came from the kit too. I thought they were pretty outrageous, and something I'd never have purchased on my own, but they look great here. I'm still really happy with this kit club thing.

This is th eonly layout I don't really like. I think it's because of how bright it is and that's just not my style. I did use up some super old paper (2005! yay!) so it was a success that way.

Hehe Jenny. I LOVE the big photo on this page. I took it just fooling around, but think it's so neat. I'm not normally so good at blurring out backgrounds. I love the paper line I used here too. Mr. Campy. How wonderful.

I seemed to do a ton of one-pagers this weekend. They are actually my favorite pages too. I don't know if Crystal even knew that Ryan took this photo of me and Hailey. I think it's very cute. I am pretty sure I was grabbing her and telling her if she didn't pay attention and listen to me she was going to fall over the slope and land in the water below. She thought that was funny for some reason. Thanks Jane for the Sass paper, I finally used it!

Crystal took these photos for Ryan and me. I turned them Sepia for no apparent reason, but I like how it turned out. Very soft.

Wow, look at me! So little. What's funnier, is look at my cousins. Styles have changed, that's for sure. Jen gave me the Prima flourish felt piece, and I challenged myself to use it on my very first page of the weekend. I think it fit pretty nicely.

This page is kind of dark, but it was challenging to do with the dark, aging photo. This is one of my last pages to finish for Adam's baby book I started a year ago.

This is a favorite page as well. Basic Grey is so amazing. Thanks June for the chipboard pieces.

Finally finished the layout!

Only took like 5 days to complete this one..... I really really like it though. I wasn't sure at first if the papers went together.... the blue scallop circle is from a different line, and the white is really stark, but I think it works. I don't know how old I am in this photo, 6? 7?. I don't know. it's cute though. going to bed.
