Another "Stumble Upon" finding: Scott Wade's Dirty Cars. who has time for this?

Its been a while....

I haven't blogged in quite some time. I've been so busy with work and sorting out the basement and being alone. Adam went to Kamloops to work, and it seems he may only come back to collect his things. Ryan is at camp (but home tomorrow). I feel a bit like a single mom working and taking care of two puppies. Currently Mack is behind me barking because he wants to play. I try to work, come home, eat a decent meal, play with them and get in some cleaning and things I enjoy, but it's tricky. The other night I feel asleep at 7:30 and woke up at 7 am. On the couch, no less.

I wish I had found the time to blog and keep you all up to date on my life, but I just couldn't find the time. Tonight I'm relaxing with a cup of tea in my new Tigger mug (Thanks June and Brian!). I wanted to share a website I came across in a scrapbook magazine.
The site is called Stumble Upon. You sign up, enter your interests and then click "Stumble". It takes you to random websites based on what you said you were interested in. It fine tunes the results over time when you select "like it" or "don't like it". One site I came across tonight is MyPaperCrane. The site is by some girl who is selling plush things she's created. Like toast, and mushrooms, and cupcakes. They are super cute, and I feel a need to own some of them although I have NO idea what I would actually do with them, so I resisted.
Seriously, how cute is that? I think they'd be adorable on the shelves in my scrap room... but I can't justify $30 for one. I'll have to take up sewing now and make my own. I'm off to go pet my puppy and read a book. I'll try to blog again soon.

I finished another layout today. This is another photo taken by Jen Louie. Journaling reads: Steve wouldn't stay still to get a good photo, but I still think this captures Adam's love for his dog.

I really like the lighting in this photo. It has a fancy feel to me, like a still from a movie or something. It's kind of a random piecing of stuff from different companies, but it came out okay.

I'm exciting to scrapbook my easter photos. I'm going to go print a bunch of stuff tomorrow as I'm nearly running out of things at home. I'm feeling tired tonight so I think I'll just go sit on the couch.

Scrapbooking Things....

I got a few layouts done the other day before all the flooding occurred. I have one more to finish as well, which I'll probably post tomorrow.I'm happy to have this one finished. This is Mack's photo and writeup off the SPCA website. We picked him based on this photo. He's grown up so much already! Love the bold colors on this, they suit him.

Really simple layout of a great photo of Ryan and I. Happy to have used the Studio Calico exclusive papers I received in a kit a couple months back. Goes well with the photo I think.

Since I left June's place in such a hurry I had also left all my tools at her place. I wanted something scrapbooking related to do last night and that finally motivated me to finish my chipboard storage. Looks pretty good. Now I need to find a new place for my Clip-it-Up....

The basement wall is leaking again, so I'm off to go mop the wall. Oh joy. Happy Easter everyone!

Basement Damage

What it looked like initially. There's a good inch of water on the floor.

This is the corner where the water was coming in from, it's all soggy and gross. Adam just put his hand right through it.

We ended up having to take down the entire back wall and a piece of the side wall. (More than what's shown here. Nice frame job from the previous owners. It's certainly not up to code!

Old crack in my wall that has been repaired. Not disclosed on the property purchase.

So yes, this is the room Adam and Ryan just redid 3 weeks ago. It was so lovely. Now they get to do it all over again. I'm not sure of what is happening, but we are contacting the previous owners it appears and may or may not be suing them. Sounds exciting. Maria and Darren are coming in about a week, and they were going to sleep in this room, but I guess not now!

Easter Eggs

Today I went to Crystal's and dyed easter eggs with her and Hailey. It was a ton of fun! I'm just quickly posting a few photos because I love how they turned out. I haven't posted in a while and felt I should do something. I'd like to say more, but my basement actually flooded a tiny bit this afternoon and I may or may not be suing the previous owners. Needless to say I'm a little stressed and don't really feel like blogging. More to come later when I calm down and know more.
