Welcome Mack!

We picked Mack up from the SPCA in Dawson Creek today. Mack was listed as a Siberian Husky cross. He's crossed with Akita and Chow. Very excited that we can give him a safe, happy home. So far he's been a good boy. He has only peed on the floor a few times. He's been very quiet and sleepy. Probably a big relief to be out of that loud smelly SPCA. On the way back from Dawson he had a bit of a puking incident in his crate so we gave him a bath. He did really well and I think he actually liked it. Here's some photos we took of him. Pay attention to his ears in the second one - one flops sideways and one frontways. Very cute.

Photos!

Jen Louie emailed me to say that our photos are ready. She did an AWESOME job! Totally recommend her. Go to http://www.jenlouie.typepad.com to see her other work. Here are some of my favorites.

Sofa King

It's been hard yesterday and today to drag myself out of bed for work. Even still, I have to leave in 45 minutes and I'm sitting here with a tea, unshowered. I'll get ready eventually. Work has been so slow lately because of Christmas and all that. No one is really in a buying mood.
Yesterday our debit machines were down for about an hour. I spent that time up at the till helping to write out Visa/MC by hand. We got to chatting and Jen started telling us this Sofa King story. I suck at telling stories. I miss key points, or I add bits of info that I shouldn't have to make it suspenseful.... Jen can tell any story and make it hilarious. So she tells us about the sofa king. Basically what if there was a place called "Sofa King"? Imagine if their slogan was "Our prices are Sofa King low!" (If you haven't laughed yet say it out loud.) Nikole and I were killing ourselves laughing. Apparently it was an SNL skit at one point. When I googled it this morning I found tons of images. Have you guys heard of this before?

Ooh! now it's 8:30.... I need to go shower or I'm going to be late!

New Cosmo Product

Go to http://cosmocricket.blogspot.com/ to see the new lines just put out today! I want them all! Love love love love Cosmo.

I got out of school an hour early today because the roads were so bad. So I got home before 3. How lucky I was to see that it had snowed and I needed to shovel again today. So Steve and I geared up (he has little red boots) and went outside to shovel once more. We played a little soccer in the back yard and then decided that it would be a good idea to go for a short walk. I feel much better that I've taken him out and done a little activity in daylight.

I think since I am feeling energetic I will go fold some laundry and start my readings from class today. Bye bye!

Photo Shoot Sneak Peek!

Jen Louie just emailed me this photo of myself. I think she's teasing me. She's like, "here's one for now, they will all be done by the end of the week". Then she wrote that I should make it big and scrapbook it by journaling down the side - which I may just do. I think in this photo Adam was beside me and I was telling him he had to look like he loves me. haha.

My life is running away on me again...

First off, this ad is just funny. I don't know if it is real or not, but I doubt it. Anyhow, it's good to share a laugh where you can.

As my title says, my life is running away on me again. Damn school. Damn needing to work for money. I'm always so tired and with both Adam and Ryan gone its really a lot to keep up around here on top of school and work and life. This morning I didn't have to work until 12 so I had it all planned out that I would get up, have a cup of tea, clean my bathroom, mop the floors, shower, eat and work. Then, I woke up and there was a million feet of snow outside. It took me an hour to shovel the entire way around my house. Sure, I didn't need to shovel it all I guess. But I like to have it fully complete. So then I had no time to clean the bathroom or floors. That got bumped to tonight. But I have to make these stupid muffins for school. Its looking like the bathroom is getting bumped until tomorrow. I also feel really bad about the fact that Stevie is being left alone all day and in the nights I am very busy. He hasn't gone for a walk in days. I've been playing with him indoors as much as possible though. I should probably stop whining and get to my homework now..... more tomorrow, though I'll try to be positive.

Whadda You Lookin At?

Today I had my very first class of the semester. We were a few minutes late because of the snow (it was in Dawson). The class looks to be interesting. We get to go into the classroom 6 more times. Those visits should be interesting. Kathy seems very nice and really open to whatever. She kept saying "we'll see how it goes and if you don't like it, we'll change it". There's also no tests or final exams. That's my kinda class. Today a girl in my class came up to me and said "I just wanted to let you know you have an awesome speaking voice. Very engaging". That made me feel good. Hopefully in my one day classroom the kids will feel the same way and pay attention.

Here's a layout I did of Steve last night. I got this photo by placing the camera on the floor. I'd press the button and when the "preflash" red light would go on, he'd stick his face right up on the camera. The paper is WRMK Nonsense line. I bought it because it was cute. I really don't often like things I create with such bright papers. This one works though and I'm really happy with it. Blue and green letters are thickers, and the orange ones are doodlebug.
P.S. Crystal, the transparency I used on that other layout was from Creative Imaginations. I bought it off 2peas a few months ago....

Steve makes me happy

This photo is so funny. It makes me smile. I hope you smile too.

Layouts

I have no idea why, but there are the only layouts that will post normally. The rest keep turning. I think they are hexed.
This first one was done with BG Wassil. Crystal helped me to cut out the bell and the holly vines with the cricut. That was very fun and totally makes the page. Now I just need to print the photos....

Close up of another page...... I like my title. It's in an odd spot for me.
Again, I need to print the pictures. Or rather, decide what I'm going to put on it. I took some photos of Steve in the snow, but there's really only 2 good ones. We'll figure out something. I had some white scrap from the first page so Crystal cut me out a bunch of snow flakes and I basically just did this to use them. I used a transparency on this page. Another thing I've been trying to get myself into doing. Any suggestions for pictures guys?

Cricut fun

Blogger is doing that weird thing still where it switches photos sideways. I have no idea why it selected a few and not the rest but oh well. Today I went to Crystals and we cut out these shapes. They took a long time but were made all from scraps which is really cool. Hailey, Adalyn and I were Cinderella, Ariel and Jasmine for Halloween, so I'm going to use them as embellishment on the pages.

Again, sorry for the sideways photos. This is the base of each princess.Ariel looks like herself just with the red hair.
Hair and tail, she's coming together.
All done. Her eyes (the only part I had to draw in, are kind of freaky, but oh well)Everyone is dressed and ready to go.

First post of the new year...

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a lot of fun. I spent my new year's eve with Junie scrapbooking. Surprise surprise. I really wish Ryan had been here, but we kissed at midnight over the phone. Second best thing I suppose. I'm not going to type much tonight because I'm sick and sitting up makes my nose run. I was going to post photos of some layouts I did, but for some reason blogger is turning them sideways... so I'll try again tomorrow.
